​The Great Big Green Week will take place this year between 7th and 15th June. This year’s theme is “Let’s swap together for good” – and ZERO is joining the national celebration with a week of events that inspire greener choices and stronger communities.

People across the country will swap together for good to protect and restore nature, lessen the impact of climate change, strengthen our communities and demonstrate to politicians that they need to step up and play their part.

Here's what we're up to:

🌍 Guildford Green Day – Sunday 8 June, 11am–4pm
Join us in Guildford town centre for a fun, planet-friendly day out. We’ll be there with our Community Fridge, sharing surplus food to help reduce waste - come grab something delicious and do your bit for the planet!

Got a great low-carbon travel story? Enter our Race Sustainably Across the World challenge! Tell us about your longest eco-friendly journey (no flights allowed!) -  the furthest distance wins a hamper of goodies from our amazing supporters at the Co-op. To ENTER click HERE.

🚴 Explore & Restore Bikeride – Sun 8 June, 2-3pm

Come along for a relaxed group ride from Guildford to Godalming along the mostly off-road Godalming-Guildford Greenway. Starting from ZERO on Walnut Tree Close, we’ll follow a scenic and peaceful route through meadows, parks, and woodland paths - perfect for a gentle Sunday cycle.

We’ll finish at the Godalming Bandstand, where you can unwind with some live music and a well-earned rest in the park. All welcome - bring a bike, bring a friend, and enjoy the ride!

🖊️ Simple Swaps Writing Workshop – Weds 11 June, 10:30am
Join us for a special Great Big Green Week event as we dive into the power of words with author and journalist Alice Fowler.

In this inspiring and welcoming workshop, you’ll explore this year’s theme – Simple Swaps – and discover creative, personal ways to share your sustainability journey through writing. Whether you're an experienced writer or just curious, come reflect, connect, and create in a relaxed setting.

Discover the power of sustainable finance and how your choices - from your bank to your pension - can shape a greener future.
