From power tools, to camping gear, to gardening equipment and board games everything is available to loan for up to 2 weeks at a time. It’s better for your wallet and the planet.
*Users must be 18+, have a photo ID and proof of address such as a driving license, and a debit card is required for security purposes.

I was very excited to borrow a heat gun and a jigsaw from the Library of Things. We’re renovating our spare room, and so it was great to use the heat gun to strip the peeling paint off an old windowsill, and to cut out some wood for some new cabinet doors with the jigsaw. My husband also re-pointed the patio with the pointing set! These tools cost money and take up space, and aren’t really used very frequently, so it was wonderful to be able to borrow (and then return) them! I took the pop up tent to a festival, which saved me buying one. It survived a wind storm, torrential rain and the madness of festival life and was so cosy despite the weather. It was also very easy to put up and easy to put away even after a few days of dancing more than sleeping! - Hannah

The service from Guildford Library of Things was excellent, with all staff being very helpful.
