Recycle: A Plastic Pollution Solution
Stop food packaging entering the ocean or being sent to landfill or incineration

You Can Help Too...
Recycling the things your household bin can’t
We take hard to recycle items and send them to organisations like Terracycle, Recycling For Good Causes and Fundraise & Recycle. These organisations are all UK based and they either repurpose them or turn them into things like playground equipment, watering cans, storage containers and more.
Recycling still involves energy and transport, so it's better to not create the waste in the first place. However, where that's unavoidable either due to no zero waste items of the product or the cost is prohibitively expensive compared to the plastic covered version, recycling through these schemes is a good option.
Everything collected by us is recyclable - it's just not recycled in our household recycling bin. In Guildford, over 5 tonnes of plastic waste have been prevented from going to landfill by the efforts of local recyclers!
For over 10 years our partner Cheryl has been collecting these hard to recycle items, sorting and shipping them off to raise over £6,600 for her chosen charity Kicks Count.
Food wrappers are now the single largest source of pollution on our beaches and rivers. You'd be forgiven for thinking that the problem has been resolved somewhat in recent years, with supermarkets collecting soft plastics for recycling, but an investigation which put trackers into these deposits found that around 70% are being sent for incineration! The schemes we send to do not send the rubbish for incineration.
