ZERO's Green Home Zone Presents: Low Carbon Heating

This is the 3rd talk in the series and will be a Zoom event. 

In the  first talk we looked at a “Routemap to Net Zero Carbon 2050”, the 2nd  addressed energy efficiency in existing legacy gas fired heating  systems, and now it’s time to look at low and zero carbon heating.

We  will start by setting the scene and then consider the development of  the basic options of hydrogen and electricity. Then it will be time to  look in depth at a range of solutions including heat pumps, direct  electrical heating, heat storage, electrical storage, solar thermal and  hybrid systems.

Finally in this session we will look at what you should do to evaluate the best option for your situation.

The talk will be given by Gordon Farquharson. Gordon is a local resident, ZCG volunteer, GEF and MRA member. He is a Chartered Environmental Building Services Engineer with a wealth of commercial and industrial built environment experience.
