Wild Orchids

Find out about Surrey's amazing wild orchids and their incredible relationship with fungi and insects. Simon Humphreys is manager of two of the best sites for orchids in Surrey, where he and his volunteer group have been managing habitats for orchids and other wildlife for 44 years.

His talk will cover the ecology and distribution of orchids in the county, including some of their adaptations which enable them to grow but also mean they are now relatively rare across Britain.
