River Bat Walk

Are bats blind? Do they get stuck in your hair? Do they really turn into vampires? Come along to a talk run by Surrey Bat Group members to find out the answers to these questions and many more!

Meet on High Street Bridge in Guildford for a short introduction to bats covering: what they are, what they do, why they are amazing and how we can help them out. Then we’ll take a short walk down the river, hoping to see and hear the different species of bats. We’ll have bat detectors with us which we’ll pass around so everyone will be able to take a turn using them and hear the bats doing their echolocation calls.

We will be finished by about 22.30. Dress warmly and wear shoes for walking.
