About the Event

Hampton Estate is a diversified, forward-looking rural business, located in the western corner of the Surrey Hills AONB. It comprises 2250 acres of historic parkland, species rich meadows, arable fields, woodlands, lowland heath, wood pasture, calcareous grassland, hop gardens and traditional farm buildings, which form the backbone of the estate that is home to a myriad of businesses and opportunities. At Hampton, we are lucky to have a fantastic mosaic of diverse and habitat types and seek to preserve and enhance our natural capital through all our land management decisions. We farm regeneratively, producing Pasture for Life accredited beef and wild roe venison. We also grow hops for breweries across the country. We are embarking upon several very exciting nature restoration projects, including a 100 year vision for the restoration of heathland and a new chalk downland and tree planting project. Public access and community support is very important to Hampton, and we want to make sure people can enjoy our beautiful local landscapes.

Molly Biddell, the Nature Based Solutions Manager at Hampton Estate, will talk about the nature-based solutions that Hampton is delivering, with a focus on heathland and chalk downland restoration and Hampton’s regenerative agriculture enterprises.
