About the Event
We know that we are in a climate and nature crisis, and the time is now for nature to move up the sustainability agenda. As part of this push, the Wildlife Trusts are piloting a series of Nature Literacy Workshops, aimed at up-skilling business leaders on the risks and opportunities that are evolving in the natural capital space,
Surrey Wildlife Trust and the Sustainable Business Network invite you to a free, introductory workshop, that will overview the space and sector and give you tangible actions you can take back to your company. The workshop is designed for decision makers, sustainability leads and business leaders who are interested in discovering the risks and opportunities that are unfolding with relation to biodiversity, natural capital, and green finance.
Event format:
1-hour introductory session led by Surrey Wildlife Trust CEO Sarah Jane Chimbwandira, who will guide you though the landscape of nature & business literacy, overviewing key themes, frameworks, and issues in the areas of green finance and natural capital.
Q&A
Guided walk around a beautiful secluded ancient woodland site, managed for nature by the Surrey Wildlife Trust. Nower Wood is a SNCI, noted for its prevalence of fungi species and other ancient woodland specific wildlife.
Refreshments will be provided.
