The first in a series of talk on our waterways.Â
Describing and illustrating the reinstatement of the Wey and Arun Canal -Londons lost waterway to the sea. By undertaking this work it provides the opportunity to enhance the Biodiversity of the canals' "green corridor" that passes through the Counties of Surrey and Sussex.  Protected and Invasive Species are an ever present challenge- did you know for example their  ground breaking work to control the invasive species Water fern by the use of weevils?  Join us to find out how they enhance the Biodiversity of the canal through the work of their engineers reconstructing locks and canal runs.
