About the Event

Knepp Estate join us to cover the history of the rewilding efforts at Knepp - how the farming operations were transformed into a wild landscape, shaped by the actions of large herbivores including Red and Fallow Deer, Longhorn cattle and Tamworth Pigs.

We'll look at the many wildlife successes that have occurred as a result of the 20 years of the project so far, how they came about, and the progress made, and also some of the other smaller projects that are taking place alongside the main rewilding efforts.

All of these are crucial lessons for Surrey, as community groups and local authorities look to reverse biodiversity decline which threatens the ecosystems which we all depend upon. 11% of Surrey's native species have gone extinct in the last 3 decades and our bioidversity decline is higher than the national average.

Join us to see how the lessons from Knepp can help address the nature crisis in Surrey.
