About the Event
As residents in the most wooded county in England we’re proud of our countryside. But did you know that biodiversity decline in Surrey is higher than the national average, and we’ve lost 11% of our native species in the last few decades alone.Â
High biodiversity levels are critical to keeping the ecosystems we depend on healthy. Our wildlife and nature improve air quality (essential as Surrey is in the top 5 traffic hotpots in the country!), they support our local economy, and they provide a hugely important role in the physical and mental health of our Surrey residents.
Join us at ZERO and in the Rotunda on North Street to find out how you can be part of a project to reverse biodiversity decline across Guildford and Surrey, and get involved in some hands on activities!Â
On the day we have wildlife talks from expert speakers: Â
11:00-11:30 ‘Action for Insects’ talk with Talay NamintrapornÂ
13:00-13:30 ‘Find your Voice’ talk with Owen GibbonsÂ
15:00-15:30 ‘Powerful Communities’ talk with Bryony Carter
