About the Event

Green Salon Collective will collect virtually all of your salon’s waste and either put it to use or recycle it, including:

Using old hair to mop up oil spills!

 Composting old salon towels

Generating energy from waste personal protective equipment

Think how many used foils you go through in a week alone! Green Salon Collective will take all of these, as well as plastic, paper, used colour tubes, and chemicals, and prevent them finding their way into an incinerator or the ocean, like so much of our waste does.

We all want to make the right choices to protect our planet, but finding the right jumping off point can be confusing. Set up by a team of waste campaigners, environmental experts, and hairdressers, Green Salon Collective will help you cut through the noise and confusion, providing your team with a starter kit, marketing material, and ongoing support. They help educate your team on the impact of the wider hairdressing industry, and they offer next day collection for all pick ups!

With an accreditation system to show potential customers that your business cares about people and planet, the scheme shows your team’s willingness to contribute to cutting waste and emissions to play your part in tackling the environmental crisis.

Join Green Salon Collective at ZERO, for an evening hosted by Julia Lampard Salon, to discuss how we can make Guildford’s salons waste free as part of building a community-led climate action plan.
