Energy Champions: Community Engagement

As part of the Leaky Homes project we are running Energy Champion training to help empower Surrey's communities to develop energy efficiency plans and reduce bills for other residents.  

This is part 2 of the Energy Champion training, focusing on how to engage your local community. You are welcome to attend this online session even if you didn't join us for Session 1, but you won't at this stage be able to join our energy survey team.   

In this session we'll cover: 

1. Case study and recap of session 1 

2. Local sources of funding 

3. Community engagement:

• Identify the purpose of your energy advice 
• Identify who you want to help and how best to reach them 
• Identify the best engagement tools and techniques 
• Create a plan for your community engagement 

4. An overview of which policies and procedures you need to keep volunteers and energy advice clients safe
