About the Event

Immerse yourself in nature and rejuvenate your soul with Forest Bathing and Nature Connection Guide Emily. We hope joining this session will be one of the best things you ever do for yourself!

National Trust's Dapdune Wharf is Guildford's secret island, where we will amble among trees by the river, with regular stops for sensory invitations to calm body and mind.

Tuning in to our senses allows us relax and reconnect with nature. Research shows that nature connection under the canopy of trees gives us a mental and physical boost. In Japan, this is called 'Forest Bathing'.

The name 'Forest Bathing' comes from the Japanese 'Shinrin Yoku', which means 'forest shower': a sensory immersion in the forest atmosphere, (not water!). A forest bathing /nature connection event is as indulgent as a spa day, but is much more inspiring, educational, totally unique and (usually) we don't get wet! Learn more on our website Mind Body NATURE

Your guide will be Emily Inge, who trained as a Forest Bathing+ guide and mindfulness teacher after experiencing first-hand the benefits of mindfulness in nature for work related stress and anxiety. Her sessions are inclusive, friendly and suitable for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
