About the Event

We will be discussing Octavia Butler's 1993 novel Parable of the Sower, which follows a young African American woman navigating her increasingly precarious California homeland and forming her own environmentally-conscious philosophy.  

Copies of the book are available to loan from Guildford Library, where the event is taking place (meeting room on the third floor). 

Please note that there is a limited number of spaces for this club so please only sign up if you are able to make the date.

**Content Warning: The first novel, Parable of the Sower, contains violent scenes and allusions to sexual violence
