About the Event

Join the River Wey's Water Rangers as we review our water test results from the past year, get introduced to our testing methods, and learn about our plans for 2023.  This project, started by ZERO and the River Wey Trust is a growing collaborative of groups along the whole River Wey Catchment. Join the wave!

We'll be joined by special guest, Alex Adam from the Rivers Trust, who will speak about water stewardship.

After we dive into the results from the past year, you'll have a chance to be training in our water testing protocol by our long-time volunteers. Learn how we test for qualitative and quantitative (temperature, conductivity, pH, alkalinity, hardness, phosphates, nitrates).

We'll also be learning about ongoing plans to setup e.coli testing, expanding in the whole river catchment, and how we can be involved in restoration and other projects that help us move toward a healthy river!

Finally, if you're keen, you can sign up to go out water testing right after the event or with some of our water monitoring volunteers during our monthly testing sessions (last weekend of every month).
