About the Event
Come and learn what it takes to look after grounded and injured swifts in a presentation by Surrey's foremost Swift Rehabber, Helena Finden-Browne. She has been caring for swifts for the last 8 years often with 16-20 casualties at a time.
You will be shown footage of Helena at work with swifts and learn in detail about individual cases. As it's the middle of swift season, rehabbers across the country are busy caring for adult and juvenile casualties, so Helena may need to bring some of her swiftlet patients along with her (this is not guaranteed).
After Helena's presentation we will be showing the acclaimed short documentary film "The Other Taylor Swift" which follows another story of swift rehabilitation and conservation.
