About the Event
Lead by Sue Webber, local ecologist: Woodcraft and survival, edible plants and native wildlife specialist.
Starting with the often overlooked edible and medicinal "weeds" that spring up in gardens and allotments we'll explore the world of foraging. Finding, identifying and safely enjoying our wild plants. What's edible, what's poisonous, and how to gather responsibly.
The route may involve steep hills so walking boots will be useful.
We will be looking and learning, tasting, smelling and possibly taking small samples. You are encouraged to take photos, notes or sketches.
